VOLUNTEERS in the Vale are being sought to help out three of the area's most important services.
Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service is appealing for more people to join their 200 other volunteers as Community First Responders (CFR), the Ambulance Voluntary Car Service (AVCS) and Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS).
The ambulance service has more than 120 CFR's to attend emergency incidents in their local area, 64 volunteers for the AVCS who use their own cars to transport patients to hospital appointments and nine MARS volunteers who are called out by the trust to incidents involving traumatic injuries.
Chief executive Russell Hamilton commented: "We have a rapidly growing and impressive volunteer force within the trust who are totally committed to the organisation and servicing our local community. We hope to encourage anyone in Herefordshire and Worcestershire who wishes to join the trusts team of volunteers to find out more about volunteering with us."
