CONTINENTAL Bakery rose to the occasion by winning the Kidderminster Harriers Five-a-Side competition for the second year running.

They won the trophy without conceding a goal in the whole competition after overcoming a Harriers Legends team and beating Bewdley Town 1-0 in the final.

Manager Tony Maffei said: "Winning the Harriers Five-a-Side was great, but retaining it the year after is even better."

Kidderminster Lions under-nines have scored more success by netting the Hereford Lads Club Six-a-side tournament title.

The team, managed by Ian Beddows, beat Wellington 4-0 in the final after a 2-1 semi-final victory over Wyre Forest Panthers.

It completes a superb season for the Lions who did the double by winning the Stourport and District Youth League championship and League Cup.

The campaign included 18 wins, four draws and just two defeats with 54 goals scored and 10 conceded.

Harry Morgan was the hero after notching the goal that won Stourport's Sytchampton Endowed First School a football tournament.

He bagged the winner for the Year 3 and 4 team against Tenbury in the final of the competition organised by Hartlebury Bears First School Club.
