TWO dogs were left close to death after being left in their owners' cars over the weekend when the Vale was clocking up the hottest temperatures in the country.
The two were left in cars in Evesham where they were discovered in distress by RSPCA inspectors.
The owners have now ben formally warned.
They had been called out to the incidents to help free the animals after the alarm was raised by anxious members of the public.
The incidents came less than a week after the RSPCA issued a warning to people not to leave dogs in hot cars as the vehicle can soon turn into an oven, with temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit inside.
