RESURFACING work taking place on the road between Kidderminster and Hartlebury is expected to be completed by June 23.

To minimise disruption, the patching work on the A449 at Torton is being carried out between 9pm each night until 6am the following morning.

To ensure safety of workers and drivers, traffic is being controlled by temporary lights and occasional convoys past the work site while work is taking place.

In another scheme, Worcestershire County Council is installing a crossing for cyclists and pedestrians on Stourport Road, near Toll House Cottage, south of the junction with the B4195.

The work is intended to help complete the National Cycle Network Route 45 between Upper Arley and Stourport.

As part of the same scheme, the existing 250-metres cycle and footway link between Blackstone picnic site and Netherton Lane, Bewdley and the footway outside the toll cottage is being widened and the kerb at Toll House Cottage is being dropped.
