I WAS deeply angered by the "Duty Calls For John" story that appeared on the front page of the June 8 edition of the Shuttle/Times & News.
The Iraq war is a predatory war of aggression based on well-publicised lies.
John's "duty," in fact, is to subjugate the people of Iraq so that the US ruling establishment can plunder their oil reserves.
To uncritically regurgitate the lie that the occupation has some kind noble and legitimate character is nothing short of propaganda, and is an insult to the people of Kidderminster who oppose this criminal war.
