IT was worth the wait for MCM Meat Cutters' Kev Williams when his ongoing hunch that peg eight should produce a good weight was proved right.
Fishing six metres out on the deck at his favoured peg, Williams took the honours in the open with a catch of 113lb 14oz.
Dave Williams, of Halesowen RBL, came second for the second week on the trot with 108-6 from peg 36 on Mucky Meadow.
Third place went to Fosters' Mark Workman who landed 103-8 off peg 48 and fourth was Chris Senter, of Alan's Tackle, with 92-13 off peg 21 on Furnace Pool.
The silver fish have still been feeding on the carp spawn and have been hard to catch.
Paul Cook took the silver prize with 7-14 from peg 54.
