A RANGE of diabetes issues will be aired during an event in the Treatment Centre of Kidderminster Hospital this evening.
The open evening coincides with National Diabetes Week, with the diabetes team at Kidderminster focusing on the need for people at risk of developing the condition to be identified.
For people already living with diabetes, the emphasis will be on taking control of the condition.
Today's event, sponsored by the Kidder-minster branch of Diabetes UK and Wyre Forest Diabetes Link nurses and team, will include a demonstration of retinal photography and eye screening and on-the-spot blood tests.
As well as educational and trade stands, there will be entertainment during the event, which runs from 6pm until 8pm, with the demonstration of Ceroc dance.
Among groups of people who could be at risk and are advised to attend are overweight adults and children and members of the Asian or African-Caribbean communities.
