A KIDDERMINSTER superstore looks set to create nearly 200 extra jobs.
Morrison's workforce will more than double to 350 staff, if planning chiefs give the supermarket the green light to move its premises to Stourvale Mills.
Two new bridges, over the River Stour, are also planned to link the main car park with extra spaces at the proposed new store.
Morrisons, currently based in Oxford Street, has submitted an application to Wyre Forest District Council to build a 77,000 sq ft store with car parking for 414 cars in Green Street.
The company, subject to planning permission, will also lease part of the mill site to the Friends of the Carpet Museum Trust.
Plans are still in the early stages but Morrisons bosses are hopeful it will bring more people to that side of town.
An instore cafe, home and leisure goods and specialist fresh food counters are included in the store's scheme which is set to be considered by planners in August.
