A MAN in his eighties was airlifted to hospital after his disabled scooter toppled over in the road following a collision.
The collision, involving the three-wheeled scooter and a blue Ford Mondeo, happened at the junction of the A451 Stourport Road and Sutton Park Road at 12.20pm on Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Selly Oak hospital with a head injury. His condition had much improved, however, as the Shuttle/Times & News went to press. A force spokeswoman said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Police closed Stourport Road and Goldthorne Road and diverted traffic down Sutton Road following the incident.
