Guest rider Gavin Poupart, competing in Echelon Cycles of Pershore colours, flew round the Chance Lane course in a Velo Club Sevale time-trial.
On the hottest evening of the year, he recorded a time of 22min 47sec, taking over a minute out of the fastest club rider, Brian Boswell. Will Davies kept in the chase for the points title by coming a close third.

The next event is the second of the two 'come and try it' time-trials, open to all-comers. This is a 10-mile event using the Chance Lane - Old Hills - Callow End - Jennett Tree Lane course. Signing-on is from 6.45pm, with the first rider away at 7.30pm.
