HAGLEY v MALVERN I
MALVERN suffered another disappointment on Saturday away at Hagley.
Malvern started superbly, with David Cox and Mark Baugh putting on 44 before Cox was out for 17.
From then on, the innings degenerated into something of a shambles. Baugh was out to a brilliant catch, Rob Francis unluckily run-out, Luke Halion adjudged lbw and Adam Dovey given out to a disputed lbw.
Rob Coughtrie, with some sensible cricket, made an unbeaten 18 and, with young Phil Hermitage, put on 20 for the tenth wicket but 98 was a very poor effort.
Malvern benefited from a couple of dubious lbw decisions but Hagley ran out easy winners by five wickets. Anthony Arnold claimed two of the wickets.
On Saturday, Malvern entertain Stourport, who are currently top.
