One of the last chances to visit one of Malvern's most beautiful gardens is being offered to plant lovers.

The garden at Barnards Green House is open on Sunday (June 18), from 2pm to 6pm.

This is the last Sunday the garden will be open, although it will still open on Thursdays to the end on the season.

Owner Sue Nicholls said: "We've been opening our gardens for about 28 years and it's time to call it a day.

"But we're still inviting everyone to come along on Sunday and see how lovely it is. People have said it's the most beautiful garden in Worcestershire."

With three acres of grounds, Barnards Green House has rooms for a variety of habitats, including a wooded area, asphalt garden and vegetable garden.

"They all look lovely at different times of the year," said Mrs Nicholls.

"In the spring, the woodland is beautiful. Now the herbaceous borders and the shrubs are at their best, and the roses are absolutely magnificent."

Over the years, the open days have raised many thousands of pounds for charity.

On Sunday, there will be teas on the lawn provided by Save The Children, plus a large variety of plants for sale.

"So many lovely people have visited our garden over the years and we will miss them," she said.
