THE world's biggest mountain bike festival will take place at Eastnor Castle Deer Park next weekend.
The Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem 2006 runs from Friday to Sunday, June 23-25, and includes a gruelling 24-hour endurance event and a mini mayhem mountain bike course for kids.
There is also the chance to try out manufacturers' new mountain bikes in the giant dirt demo, a purpose-built two-mile bike course. Demo rides need to be pre-booked by visiting www.ssmm.co.uk.
The three-day festival will have a climbing wall, reverse bungee jumping, bouncy castle and entertainment for children including jugglers, stilt walkers and face painters. There will also be the chance to indulge in a little retail therapy at manufacturers' trade stands.
Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem has free entry for visitors all weekend. There are competitions and prize draws with mountain bikes and holidays to win. For further information on Mountain Mayhem 2006, log on to www.ssmm.co.uk.
