NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch groups in Bosbury and Cradley are holding a joint meeting at the parish hall today (Friday), at 7pm. On the agenda, details of the local policing programme, a discussion on crime reduction in rural areas and advice on how to make houses, sheds, outbuildings and vehicles more secure. Some security equipment will be on display and there will be some items to be given away. With the start of the summer holiday season, this is a good time to review your security arrangements.

A country and western evening with Alan Herbert takes place at the parish hall tomorrow (Saturday), from 8pm to midnight. Admission is £4, including snacks. Bring your own drinks. The evening is organised by Ann Quinton and friends and is in aid of the parish hall refurbishment.

Children's church takes place at Holy Trinity, Bosbury, on Sunday (June 18), at 10am.

Tickets are on sale for Bosbury Players' Gilbert and Sullivan evening on Saturday, July 8, at the parish hall. The programme includes: When I good friends was called to the bar (Trial by Jury), Three little maids (The Mikado), Now give three cheers (HMS Pinafore) plus a selection from The Gondoliers, Princess Ida, Ruddigore, Yeoman of the Guard and Iolanthe. The second-half will be devoted to Act Two Pirates of Penzance. With the players' previous successes, tickets will be much in demand. Following the successful launch of Bosbury Farmers' Market, the village coffee morning in July will again include a farmers' market from 10.30am to noon. Please note the revised date: Saturday, July 22.
