STOURPORT Boat Club's Duncan Gwilliam has been crowned National Veteran Champion after beating the best in Britain at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham.
Sculling in a single in the Vet C category, Gwilliam even got the better of a former Henley Royal Regatta winner en-route to the title at Holme Pierrepont.
Chris Beech was also a winner at Loughborough Regatta where he triumphed in the Senior 2 sculls and then paired up with Simon Brown to grab glory in the Senior 2 sculls double.
Two crews - a senior eight and a junior quad - are off to Henley tomorrow to try to qualify for Henley Royal Regatta.
Stourport have now notched up over 80 wins in various events this season.
