I AM trying to find any other uses of the old disused plastics factory in Worcester Road, Great Malvern. I am searching my family tree and spent several days in Great Malvern researching my great grandfather John Knight, who ran a boarding school for boys in the late 1800s together with his wife Harriet.
The 1881 census shows him living in Worcester Road, Link Top. The only building next to the two others on the census was the old plastics factory and it is possible my great grandfather was in residence in the part of the building which is attached to the factory.
On inspection, it does look as though the factory was added to the building at a later stage. If any of your readers can shed any light I would be most grateful.
The other two properties on the 1881 census and still standing today are Link Cottage and Rosendale House, Bank Street.
