Questions about policing in Upton were answered by Insp Clive Griffiths at the town council meeting on Tuesday.
The council was keen to hear his thoughts on a rewards scheme for residents who provide information about criminals, suggested last year by Coun Jackie Surtees.
Insp Griffiths said he would arrange for the town council to meet with Crimestoppers, which was the best way of receiving and rewarding anonymous information.
When the issue of speeding in town was raised, Insp Griffiths agreed to arrange for officers to enforce speed limits.
Asked why community support officer Emma Burrows had not been seen around town recently, he said she had been working in Kempsey but was still Upton's CSO.
Insp Griffiths said that the entire local policing team would be on patrol for this weekend's jazz festival and would use the opportunity to look at some of the town's problems.
