KIDDERMINSTER Harriers ended their pre-season friendly programme with a 2-0 success at Hinckley United.

Although Nationwide North outfit Hinckley had chances, Harriers eventually clinched a comfortable sixth summer win and a valuable clean sheet.

Hinckley's ex-Harrier Sam Shilton could have blotted Harriers' record early on but he missed a good headed chance.

The visitors went in front 10 minutes before the break through Iyseden Christie who continued his impressive pre-season.

Christie tapped in a cross from Lee Thompson but then John Danby and Mark Jackson combined to deny Hinckley's Andy Brown.

With 15 minutes left, Christie was fouled in the area and Thompson tucked in the penalty.

Harriers: Danby, Evans, Hatswell (Burton 58), O'Connor, Jackson, Burgess, Sheldon (Russell 52), Fleming, Christie, Thompson, Blackwood (Wilson 69).

Attendance: 398.
