STUART Watkiss wants to rediscover a winning mentality at Kidderminster Harriers after they opened their Nationwide Conference campaign with a 2-1 beating of Woking.
The Harriers manager's introduction of loan signing Taiwo Atieno paid off as the young Walsall player bagged two goals in the last eight minutes.
Now Watkiss wants to build more of a resolve at Aggborough following a couple of wretched seasons that culminated in the club's relegation to the Nationwide Conference.
He said: "The biggest plus is the win -- to get a winning mentality back here at Kidderminster. Maybe last season when we conceded that goal we could have gone under.
"It was a good result but we can make it better by going down to Exeter tomorrow and coming back with something.
"Good teams can put sequences of results together. We've just had one good day at the office so we're not going to get carried away."
Watkiss had praise for his whole team but the man-of-the-moment was Atieno who had only trained with the team once due to a tight groin the day before the match.
The Harriers boss added: "Tai showed a lot of courage just to walk up, get the ball and stick the penalty away."
