BROCKHAMPTON II v EASTNOR II
EASTNOR were indebted to N Bollen's 78no as they posted a winning score after being sent in on Saturday.
On a sunny day, skipper-for-the-day D Jones (22) and S Astbury (35) put on 46 for the first wicket.
With tight bowling by R Wargen (1-33) and R Williams (5-47), Eastnor were then reduced to 90-6 with 12 overs remaining.
Bollen's 78no contained four sixes and ten fours and, with J Febery (6), he put on 80 runs to push the score to 174-7 off 50 overs.
Eastnor replied in the first over with S Beale (1-25) having S Jennings out for a duck. G Parker (24) and P Edwards (26) steadied the innings with a partnership of 60 for the second wicket before another young bowler, T Watkins, (1-18) got the wicket of G Parker.
The introduction of leg-spinner A Reynolds' (3-44) and M Hale's (4-15) dolly mixture bowling skittled Brockhampton out for 126, aided by good catches all round.
Eastnor won by 48 runs.
