FORMER MG Rover workers are being urged to use a new back-to-work service set up by former colleagues who have found jobs through it.

The Working for Jobs programme at Northfield's Hollymoor Centre is geared towards helping more than 1,000 former MG Rover workers who remain out of work.

Funded to the tune of £2 million by the MG Rover Task Force, it started two months ago and will run for two years.

It is a collaboration between Jobcentre Plus, the Learning and Skills Council and Bournville College and provides intensive, one-to-one support to former workers, including access to training courses and a wide range of job vacancies as well as help with CV production, job applications and interview techniques.

Anyone who is interested can visit their local Job Centre to arrange an initial appointment or can telephone the Working for Jobs team direct on 0121 683 1850.
