IT had been exceptionally hot weather and it had been raining outside, but inside our meeting hall we were transported to the land of ice and snow.
Our speaker, Mr D Fletcher, kept us enthralled telling us of a very different way of life at the north and south poles and the partnership between people and husky dogs. The huskies love working and really are in charge of driver and sledge.
Unbelievably, it is time to order calendars for 2007.
We have enjoyed trips to the Wye valley and a gorgeous garden and we have the garden meeting in July to look forward to.
The most important announcement, however, is that Hadzor & Oddingley WI won the shield at the spring rally.
We do wish our two members, who are trying to join up with 'that footballer' speedy recovery from their foot injuries.
