ANDY Johnson has been brought into sort out the backs at Bromsgrove as Director of Rugby Iain Hall completed the radical overhaul of the Finstall Park club's backroom staff.

Johnson, who has coached at Moseley, has been named the Boars' backs coach for the 2006/2007 campaign in the Midlands Division Two West.

Johnson is the final piece of the jigsaw for Hall, who has restructured the coaching set up at Bromsgrove.

Hall said: "Andy's an experienced coach and a great addition. He'll be a vital part of our coaching line-up.

"I've got a really good backroom team at the club now and that's essential if we are to move forward as a club."

Bromsgrove had already drafted in Richard Scrivener as a fitness coach and former player Ross Baxter as the forwards coach. Owain Sweeting has been named as the team's manager.

Scrivener comes to Bromsgrove with an excellent pedigree.

He was a graduate of Brunel University and a specialist in high performance physiology.

Scrivener has also worked at Northampton Saints with head strength and conditioning coach Tim Exeter.

With his back room staff assembled Hall is now looking forward to the 2006/2007 season.

Bromsgrove suffered relegation to Division Two West after a winless 2005/2006 campaign.

This coming season the Boars will take on the likes of Stratford, Camp Hill, Lichfield and Barker Butts.

Hall said: "We want to finish in the top four no matter what division we are in. No team is going to be a pushover at this level and we're going to have to play well."

The Bromsgrove chief is also looking to re-build the squad in time for next season.

Hall said: "We'll be leaner and meaner for next season and ready to play some good rugby and win some games.

"Bromsgrove maybe stood still in the past but now we're ready to shake things up this season."

"I'm talking to some guys who have played at a higher level and also bring in some good young players to really give us a boost."
