ALCESTER Carnival week concluded on Friday with a ball in which 17-year-old Shirley Palmer was selected as Queen of the carnival, to be held on September 1.
The target for the week -- £100 -- easily beaten.
It's expected that the final total will be somewhere in the region of £140.
There is also a contribution of £52 to be added from the Alcester Darts League.
