RISSINGTON Kart Club, the leading organiser of high-speed kart racing events for more than 40 years, stages another two days of frenzied action this weekend.

Rissington hosts meetings on the first weekend of every month from March through to November that cater for a wide variety of categories from 60cc Cadets through to thundering 140mph, 250cc gearboxes.

More than 250 drivers can be seen haring around the 800-metre circuit that is one of the fastest in the country and encourages spectacular racing, with overtaking opportunities at almost every turn.

Whether you're a competitor or a spectator, the Cotswolds circuit is the place to visit for some of the best motor sport action in the country.

The club is holding an information day on Saturday, August 5 when aspiring racers are invited along to meet the drivers and find out more about the sport.

You can even walk the track between 10am and 11am before watching all the action unfold.

Rissington Kart Club meet the first weekend of every month and always welcome new members.

Saturdays are for practice, Sunday is race day. So, if you enjoy the thrill of motor sport then come along and watch. Saturday is free, Sunday is just £5 per car for spectating. It's a great day out for all of the family
