THERE seems to be no stopping Stratford as they maintained their unbeaten record to take another step towards the Prudden Road Surfacing Summer League Premier Division title.

They just need a share of points from next week's match to guarantee the silverware, going in to the game 15 points clear following a 4-0 victory over FISSC.

Studley bounced back to winning ways with a resounding 4-0 victory over Henley, a result that gave them a share of second place.

Gary Jackson and Dave Innes again gave their side a flying start with victories over Dave Howard and Phil Silk 6-2, 6-1 before seeing off John Turner and Tom Holland 6-1, 6-4. Clive Dalton and Chris Hughes beat Turner and Holland 6-3, 7-5, and Howard and Silk 6-1, 6-4.

High-fliers Shipston were held to a 2-2 draw by Littletons while Inkberrow beat Claverdon 3-1 thanks to a brace from Pete Watson and Chris Baker. Adam Hill and Alex Woodbridge were whitewashed but hit back for straight sets victory. Aston Cantlow enjoyed a 3-1 victory over Littleton B in Division One where Stratford C are the new leaders. The side were handed a 4-0 win following Evesham's 'no show' earlier in the season and their 2-2 draw with Bidford took them two points clear of Chipping Campden.

There was a shock for Inkberrow B in Division Two when they were beaten 3-1 by Stratford E. The result means Inkberrow stay top but just one point ahead of their rivals. Moreton beat Stratford D 4-0 while the honours were shared between the basement sides with Studley B drawing with Alcester while HDA drew with Pershore.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division Four finished all square as leaders Alcester B drew 2-2 with second-placed Claverdon C. Elsewhere, Moreton B defeated Henley B 3-1 and Studley C beat Harbury by the same scoreline.

Winter League champions Stratford A lifted the Inter-League Charity Cup Final following their victory over a depleted Stratford B side, the summer champions having to field a number of reserves. The winners' cheque for £250 was donated to the Myeloma Research Foundation. The £100 runners-up cheque was presented to the Gary Mayrick Fund in recognition of the Bidford and Alcester player's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
