MORE than 100,000 race fans will be at Donington Park on Sunday as the Redditch-based Buildbase Superstock team line up alongside some of the world's biggest names in motorsport.

Riders John Laverty and Tristan Palmer will be careering around the 2.5-mile Leicestershire circuit on the same bill as five times World Champion Valentino Rossi and his MotoGP rivals.

Team manager Dave Worthington said the three-day spectacular was sure to be the highlight of the season.

"It will be an honour to be among the world's best riders," he said. "There will be around 110,000 watching Sunday's race with 50,000 at the circuit on Saturday and 25,000 on the Friday.

"But that means extra pressure for us because everything has to be right for TV!"

Worthington's team has a hectic build-up to the race after Palmer crashed both of his bikes at the last round of the championship -- at Snetterton two weeks ago. A new bike has arrived but the Buildbase mechanics are having to work on rebuilding a second machine and ensuring the bikes look their best for the Donington crowd.

"Donington is our home circuit so I'm hoping the riders can collect some points," Worthington added.
