COUNTY batting legend Tim Curtis' son Andrew scored 61 not out as Worcestershire Young Cricketers Under 13s beat Herefordshire by 49 runs.
Worcestershire totalled 202-4 at Bartestree in the Midlands region of the English Cricket Board competition.
Openers George Burt (41) and David Brazier (20) got the side, managed by former county player Stuart Lampitt, off to a good start before Curtis completed a half-century and Jamie Brighton added 28no.
In reply, A Ross scored 65 for Herefordshire who ended on 153-9 from their 40 overs with Mitchell Jeffery taking 2-22, Jared Daniels 1-15, David Waters 1-22, Alex Williams 1-24 and Burt 1-30.
Worcestershire Under 13s' next game is at Belbroughton against Shropshire on Tuesday, July 4, in the ECB County Cup.

Worcestershire Young Cricketers Under 14s strolled past Shropshire with a 10-wicket win at Flag Meadow.
Ben Hawker (3-15), Jitesh Patel (3-28), Zain Shahid (2-10) and Sam Harris (2-19) sent Shropshire crumbling to 78 all out from 32.4 overs.
Sam O'Neill (43no) and Brett D'Oliveira (33no) then steered the County home.
