PEOPLE in Kidderminster have been warned to beware following the theft of asbestos in a burglary in the town.
It happened between 5pm on Monday and 8.30am on Tuesday at a factory in New Road.
Asbestos was stolen from the roof. The thieves' haul included two vacuum cleaners.
A police spokesman said: "We are concerned regarding this incident as anyone entering the premises should have been in possession of breathing apparatus to protect them from the asbestos.
"Also, if the vacuum cleaners are discarded and the lids opened by any unsuspecting member of the public, then this could be dangerous, as the asbestos will be released into the air."
Anyone with information regarding the incident should call police on 08457 444888, quoting reference number 0104-S-270606.
