COOKLEY Wanderers closed the gap at the top of the Kidderminster Six-a-side League table when they defeated previously unbeaten leaders Masters FC 10-3.

John Griffin led the way for Cookley with four goals while there were hat-tricks for Shane Calder and Ryan Rowe.

Woodbury Wanderers won their first game of the season, beating Ad's Lads 3-1.

Girls football

Stourport Royals under-11s girls team are kicking on after marking their first anniversary with their first trophy.

Almost 12 months to the day they were formed they triumphed in the Headless Cross 5-a-side tournament in Redditch.

The Royals braved hot conditions to beat FC Phoenix 1-0 in the final after winning three and drawing three of their matches.

They are are now recruiting new players at all age groups for next season.

Burlish Olympic's senior and Bill Rice Memorial Veterans Cup have been postponed because of a clash with England's World Cup quarter final on Saturday.
