DESPITE clashing with England's World Cup win over Ecuador there was a good turnout for the Sunday open as Kev Williams maintained his fine form.
The MCM Meat Cutters angler took the honours from the popular peg 38 with a winning catch of 91lbs 1oz, made up of mainly carp .
A storm threatened but it didn't actually start to rain until about 9pm when everyone was packing up.
Newcomer Matt Hodges came in second, while Brian Wood won the silver prize with 9lbs of beautifully coloured golden orfe.
