A QUARTET from Tsunami Karate Club represented Great Britain at the Kimura Shukokai World Karate Championships in Helsinki - and returned with seven medals.
Club instructors Sensei Solfrid Daniels and Sensei Dave Powell and students Emily Powell and Kara Bennett took on competitors from 20 countries at the three-day tournament.
Daniels and Emily Powell won gold in the ladies team kata along with Blackheath's Jenny Loftus.
Emily Powell also won silver in the girls 16-17 years kumite, while her father Dave Powell bagged a bronze in the veterans kata.
There were three bronzes for Bennett in youths 18-20 years kumite, individual kata and ladies team fighting.
Before the event the quartet took part in a Gashuku course where they were trained by world chief instructors from Great Britain, the USA and South Africa.
