A SUPERB nine-wicket haul from paceman Simon Anderson gave Cookley an 80-run triumph over Division Three North rivals Old Halesonians at Lea Lane.

Batting first, the home side made 197-6 in their 50 overs, with veteran Phil Dixon hitting 61. The visitors were then whipped out for just 117, Anderson eventually finishing with career-best figures of 9-78.

Stourport

Stourport seconds beat Enville in a tense low scoring match at Walshes Meadow to move up to second in Division Three North.

After putting the visitors into bat, Stourport restricted Enville to 102 thanks to excellent bowling from Chris Mills (4-31).

In reply, the home side struggled against tight bowling and worryingly found themselves on 6-3 early on.

But with opener Clive Judd holding the fort on 47 not out and Chris Mills (17 not out), Stourbridge saw off the total in the 31st over for the loss of six wickets.

Stourport under-12s lost by 62 runs after only making 127-7 in reply to Ombersley's 189-2.

Josh Martin (15) and Matt Smith (19 not out) batted well.

A 28-run victory over Old Elizabethans soon lifted the under-11s after they posted 104-3 and reduced their rivals to 76-9.

There was good bowling from Jack Smith (2-11) and Luke Mundy (3-9) while Joe Howes (30 not out) starred with the bat.

Bewdley

Bewdley seconds completed a miserable weekend for the club with a 68-run defeat at Droitwich.

Despite two wickets each from Bewdley's Scott Fowler, Jack Mills and Mark Hudson, Droitwich posted a competitive 203.

Ben Jones senior (33), David Meek (23) and Andy Robinson (32) gave Bewdley a chance of chasing the total but their dismissals sparked a collapse to 135.

His knock of 105 not out helped KVCC to 179-1 in reply to Bromsgrove's 178-8.

Alex Roden made 54 while there were two wickets each for Matt Brace, Amrik Singh and Andy Kimberlin.
