LOADS of people have sent donations towards air-conditioning at the Swan. Please, keep them coming. Absolutely every penny counts, and moves us towards our target.

It will make such a difference to the theatre.

The Festival Brochure should reach you either today or next week.

It comes out with the Berrows Journal, so watch out for it - it's got a great big sunflower on the cover with a pair of pink sunglasses on (looks better than it sounds!) The festival is going to be 'fab' but more of that nearer the time.

I'm sure many of you will have seen in the Worcester News the fact that the Swan's patron John Doyle won a 'Tony' a couple of weeks ago at the New York awards.

This is the highest honour you can win in America for work in the theatre, and John Doyle won the Best Director of a Musical award.

Fantastic for a man who worked at the Swan Theatre as director for six years. He attended the Cider with Rosie 40-year anniversary performance last year, and we hope to see him again soon. Well done John, we're proud of you!

The World Cup is great (I'm a big football fan if you can count supporting Crystal Palace as football!) but it's really knocking our ticket sales for six. Come on all you football-haters, come and enjoy a night out at the Swan or the Hall.

We'll give you the Brazil treatment and guaranteed no penalties!
