FANS of Oscar Wilde are in for a treat when an evening of comedy and music rolls into Droitwich Spa.

Two of Wilde's best-loved characters - Miss Laetitia Prism and Canon Frederick Chasuble - will be in reminiscent mood for their one-night show A Wilde Affair at the town's Norbury Theatre this Friday.

Starring Susan Flannery and Michael Lunt, the characters' musical talents may come as a surprise to audiences who only know them through Wilde's comedy of manners The Importance of Being Earnest.

Flannery and Lunt have attracted a large following in the UK and abroad over the last five years with comedies More Tea, Vicar?, Pass the Port and Wits' End, and have just returned from Australia with A Wilde Affair. Written and directed by Christopher Owen, the performance starts at 7.45pm and tickets, at £8 and £7, are available from the box office on 01905 770154.
