KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Mark Yates is determined to put right Saturday's 3-1 opening day defeat at home to newly-promoted St Albans City when his side travel to take on Burton Albion at the Pirelli Satdium tonight (7.45pm).

The good news for Yates is that his players came through Saturday's disappointing de-feat unscathed and he has a full strength squad to choose from.

Nigel Clough's Burton, who registered home and away 1-0 victories over Harriers last season, also enjoyed a 1-0 victory at Morecambe at the weekend.

Yates said: "The best thing about tonight's game is that it comes so quickly after Satur-day's match.

"The players need to rectify that performance at Aggbor-ough and they have a chance to do that quickly against Burton.

"We trained hard yesterday and we worked on things that needed working on. I'm looking for a reaction from the players.

"I've got to pick them up but a lot of it is about self-motivation and mental strength that they have got to have themselves.

"Me and my staff have been working doubly hard to make sure, come tonight's game, we are ready for it.

"Burton are a good team who will obviously be strong at home. It'll be a very tough test for us, but it is now up to our lads to stand up and be counted."

Brian Smikle, Luke Rey-nolds and Simon Russell, who were all substitutes against St Albans, may well start for Harriers, while Jeff Kenna, who scored with a free-kick on Saturday, should keep his starting place.

Burton are set to welcome back winger Keith Gilroy but captain Darren Stride is doubtful with a neck injury.

Striker Daryl Clare should retain his place despite breaking a finger in his last outing, but midfielder Chris Hall is ruled out with an ankle in-jury.
