CYCLING CLUB - There are two rides this Sunday. The A ride starts at 8am and goes to Old Churchstoke with breakfast at Tesco's in Ludlow. The B ride starts at 9.30am and visits Ashford Carbonel near Ludow. Both rides leave from The Green, Blakebrook, opposite Kidderminster Hospital. All cyclists will be welcome and should bring a packed lunch.

CLASSICAL MUSIC SOCIETY - Tickets are now on sale for the cello/piano recital on Friday, September 22 at Kidderminster Library, featuring the return visit of Oliver Gledhill and Hisayo Shimizu.

The programme is expected to include works by Bach, Beethoven, Suk and Barber, and will start at 7.30pm.

NSPCC KIDDERMINSTER. - At a recent collection at Tesco, £442.58 was raised. The money collected is used locally.

FRANCHE WI - At the August meeting members joined in a quiz arranged by Jill and Terry Jackson. There was a bring and buy stall. Names are to be taken next month for the Leys Group outing to Gloucester on October 4 and the group meeting on October 25, hosted by Cookley.

At the next meeting on September 5 at Franche Church Hall at 7.30pm, there is a talk by Mike Mcquade on guide dogs. The competition is a photograph of a dog. Visitors very welcome.
