BRIDGE CLUB - For the last two weeks a Mitchell movement has been played over six tables. The results for July 25 were as follows. East/West: a new partnership of Stella Read and Gerald Link were in first place with 62 per cent and Pat Smith and Julian Taylor in second place with 54 per cent. North/West Steve Clifton and Nigel Wilkins achieved 58 per cent to take first place with Barbara and John Northfield in second place with 53 per cent.
In this week's competition, Stella Read, this time partnering Steve Clifton, took first place in North/South with 61 per cent followed by Liz Leslie and Sadie Sainsbury on 59 per cent in second place. East/West winners were Bill and Ruth Copp on 59 per cent and Charles and Vera Smith on 56 per cent in second place.
The club meets each Tuesday and welcomes new members. Anyone wishing to come along will be made most welcome, just telephone Pat Smith on 01299 270592 to book in.
