WE had a perfectly lovely afternoon at Janet Millar's home in Cutnall Green where we had a salmon lunch, together with friends from Chaddesley, Callow Hill and Hopwood WIs.
After a superb lunch of salmon, dips and salads, followed by sumptuous sweets provided by our WI members, we presented Janet with an amber and silver necklace and matching earrings to mark her retirement from 13 years as our president.
The raffle raised the princely sum of £69, which will be going to the County Air Ambulance charity.
Our next meeting will be held at Chaddesley Corbett village hall on September 20 at 2pm where Sue Elliott will be demonstrating finishing touches and soft furnishings.
Our members will be bringing craft items to compete for the Brockencote Plate. Visitors and prospective new members will receive a warm welcome
Forthcoming events include the Autumn Group Meeting on October 17 at Mustow Green Hall and the Autumn Federation Council Meeting on October 24, which will be held at South Bromsgrove School.
