BROMSGROVE Town under-8s beat Lickey End 2-0 in the final of the Christopher Jones Memorial Tournament.
Rory Douglas and James Clayton bagged the goals in the final of the tournament, which was held in honour of the Bromsgrove motorbike rider who was tragically killed in 2005.
Christopher's dad Clive and sister Lucy were guests of honour and presented the winners with the trophy at the end of the match. Chris's nephew Alan also thanked all the teams and organisers for making the day possible.
Organisers Alan Whyte and Ken Symonds have also been inundated with requests by local sides to take part in it in 2007.
The tournament ran for two months and saw the top two sides from two divisions qualify for the semi-finals.
Mr Whyte said: "We've already got tremendous interest in the tournament for next year. It's been a great success and we're all hoping that Chris will be remembered for many years to come."
