Droitwich Spa 308-5 declared Halesowen 175 all out
Droitwich won by 133 runs
DROITWICH smashed a mammoth score to inflict a heavy defeat on Halesowen in the Worcestershire Sunday League.
Spa's batting order recovered from the early loss of Steve Walsh (11), who was bowled by Chris Jones and caught by Adam Hawker, with Paul Bryan (48), Damon Gariff (75) and Neil Davies (81) getting amongst the runs.
Droitwich were hitting runs at an average of seven an over and captain Bryan declared with his team on 308-5.
Richard Tredwell made an early breakthrough when he removed Halesowen opening batsmen Cameron Mapstone (2) and Kester Moseley (0).
Walsh removed Ian Stevenson (39), while Halesowen dangerman Joe Tromans was one of bowler Mike Wallis' victims.
Despite a late half century by Adam Walker the wickets tumbled around him and Halesowen were bowled out for 175 in the 45th over.
