BARNT Green under-14s clinched the Worcester Cricket Board League title by beating Evesham at Halesowen last week.
Green, who had qualified for the final by defeating Old Hill in the semi-final, put Evesham into bat but were made to work hard by Chris Ayliffe, who hit 50 runs before he retired.
Bowler Matt Cox took three wickets and Jack Eastgate made a stunning catch as Evesham were restricted to 153-6 by the end of the 20th over.
Green replied with Joel Dudley hitting a half century before retiring because of injury. Cox and David Lewis guided Barnt Green to 155-2 with ten balls remaining.
Winning the title was just deserts for Green after the team had been undefeated in the Eastern Division and reached the cup semi-finals,
