A VALE woman is holding a black tie ball at the Evesham Public Hall in October with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
Shirley Davies, a registered fundraiser for the charity, is hoping her 200 tickets costing £30 each, which can be purchased until Friday, September 15, will sell like hot cakes to raise cash for the cancer charity.
Miss Davies, who lost her mother to ovarian cancer two years ago, said: "This is my way of giving something back to others while providing party-goers with an entertaining evening with Twentyfourseven, a Vale band providing the music."
This is one of several charity events organised by Miss Davies. Tickets can be bought by calling 01386 421311.
