PUPILS and staff from Alcester High School have taken time out of their summer holidays to study nature.
A week-long summer school, supported by Lottery Grant for Local Groups, included a visit to a nursery, Alcester's award-winning nature reserve, Coughton Court and a talk from the RSPB, who brought owl pellets for pupils to dissect.
And local landscaper Dave Lewiit provided the expertise in the creation of a wildlife garden on the Alcester High School premises.
He will also be involved with the creation of a wildlife area for Alcester Scouts and Guides in the early part of autumn.
The nature reserve also benefited from the week through the pupils' efforts making bird and bat boxes.
