HARRIERS' latest signing, supporter Stuart Berrington, will be playing his part off the pitch after winning a competition to be the club's 12th man.
As a player-sponsor, shareholder and programme-contributor, Berrington is used to having his name in the club's matchday magazine.
But as 12th man, the 37-year-old will now be listed as a member of Mark Yates's squad on the back page.
He has also been registered as a non-contract player with the Nationwide Conference.
Berrington was presented with a number 12 shirt at Harriers' pre-season photocall after his father lodged the top bid in the 12th man auction. The proceeds went towards club funds.
"I try to never miss a Harriers game home and away unless it is a long distance Tuesday away game due to work," said Berrington.
"I am confident that under Mark Yates the club as a whole is ready for a charge back to the league.
"Whilst I may have the squad number 12 the whole crowd can act as the 12th man.
"The higher the gates at Aggborough, the stronger Mark Yates's team can become."
