CONCERNED Matchborough residents met the estate's community support officer and new beat manager to discuss ongoing antisocial behaviour problems.

Residents from Kenchester Close had reported their worries about by gangs of youths congregating on Arrow Vale High School's playing field to their local councillor, Juliet Brunner.

Last month, the Advertiser reported how groups of youngsters had gone on a drink-fuelled rampage in the close and left bottles and cans on the field.

Mrs Brunner set up a site visit with Pc Paul Downes and CSO John Duggins to discuss concerns, including a lack of fencing around the field, lighting, paths, antisocial behaviour and litter.

Mrs Brunner said residents were pleased they had the opportunity to discuss the problems.

She added: "I hope the site visit has gone some way to reassure residents that the police and I, as their local councillor, take very seriously the issues brought forward by members of the community and will continue to work closely in partnership to try to find resolutions."
