A TIGHTLY fought contest saw Malvern U15s narrowly lose to Nomads U15s.

WORCESTER NOMADS U15S v MALVERN U15S

Nomads batted first and following an excellent opening stand between Ollie Flower (ret on 51) and Will Ford (34) went on to amass 140-2 off their 20 overs.

Showing great character, Malvern made a valiant effort to exceed this demanding total and opening batsman Sharpe looked in fine form as he moved to 52 before retiring.

He was well supported by Whitecross, who showed good technique with a number of cover and straight drives, as he moved to 44 before being bowled by James Smith.

Jack Watkins opened the Nomads bowling and offered few scoring opportunities in completing his three overs, taking 1-3. James Smith and Patrick McLeish bowled tightly at the end to secure a win for Nomads with Malvern on 132-3 off their 20 overs.
