Rose Kemp will be bringing her talents to Worcester with a gig at the Marr's Bar next Friday.

The 21-year-old musician has built up a reputation throughout the UK's underground music scene for her daring live performances.

Her shows often feature a liberal dose of shimmering electric guitars intermingled with voice loops, harmonised hooks and sometimes simple a'cappella performances of her songs.

Now, having received airplay across three continents and toured the UK and Italy several times this year, the rising star is set for the release of her album A Handful of Hurricanes on One Little Indian Records.

She will be playing at the Pierpoint Street stage on Sunday, September 3, and support comes from Bristol three-piece act North Sea Navigator who mix together frenetic drumming with squeezebox, haunting cello, beguiling harmonies and tremolo-soaked shards of guitar.

Doors open for Sunday's concert at 8pm and tickets are £3 in advance or £5 on the night.
