SIR - Regarding your newspaper article dated Friday, August 18, Page 2, regarding the terrible accident which happened on the A38 and the tragic loss of a young girl's life, I have been a regular reader of the local paper over the last 58 years, and what I cannot understand is why you printed the photograph taken by Richard Atkins.
This photograph clearly shows the police and a senior fire officer telling him to stop.
What sort of person enjoys taking pictures like this? I am disgusted with you for allowing this picture to be published.
How would you and your readers feel if your parents had seen this?
God forbid this young girl's parents get to see the photo. I would have thought that they have enough pain to suffer. Your paper used to be a good local paper but you have sunk to the lowest with this article.
