NICHOLAS Clapton, one of Britain's leading counter-tenors, returns to his home town of Malvern next Saturday, September 2, for a concert entitled Music - the Food of Love. He will be performing classic and popular works by Purcell, Schumann, Faur and Vaughan Williams.
The concert, at St Edmund's Hall, Malvern College, at 7pm, is a fundraising event for ARCOS, the Malvern-based charity that provides help for children and adults who have communication and/or swallowing problems.
This is the second time that Nicholas Clapton, Professor of Singing at the Royal Academy of Music, and accompanist Joseph Brand have donated an evening of music and entertainment to support ARCOS.
Tickets (£15 including glass of wine) are available from ARCOS, at Whitbourne Lodge, 137 Church Street, Malvern, or on 01684 576795.
There will also be a fundraising raffle.
